In addition to your email, we will post the invitation link on the
SFV H&I website www.SFVHI.org for easy access to join the meeting.
Please join us on May 18th for all the latest updates for SFV H&I.

Thank you for your continued support in service to the

San Fernando Valley Hospital and Institutions Committee.

While the COVID19 health crisis continues and California's Safer At Home order and social distancing are in effect, we are continuing the suspension of all H&I panels for all facilities through May 31st, 2020.

The SFVHI Board of Directors has been meeting online and continues to have our regular Board Meetings. We are monitoring the changing situation and plan to return to providing H&I panels as soon as it has been deemed SAFE to do so.

We will notify the membership by both email and website postings of any H&I business that you need to be aware of. Please continue to monitor both SFVHI.ORG and your email for further updates.

ALL PANEL CHAIRPERSONS PLEASE ADVISE YOUR LEADERS, AND ALL PANEL LEADERS PLEASE ADVISE YOUR SPEAKERS.

Thank you for your support and service in carrying the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to people in facilities who do not have the opportunity to visit any outside AA meetings. Your experience, strength, hope and continued interest in the SFV H&I program is genuinely appreciated and we all look forward to seeing everyone back at St. Innocent sometime in the near future.

The San Fernando Valley H & I Committee was formed in 1981,
starting with just thirty-five members and one panel.
Since that time, our memberships has grown and we serve over fifty panels a week.

Statement of Purpose

The sole purpose of the San Fernando Valley Hospital and Institution committee is to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to persons confined in any facility, government or private, where there are Alcoholics.

All A.A. panel meetings of this Committee are to be conducted at the invitation of each facility.

The Committee is created under The Ninth Tradition of A.A.:  A.A. as such, ought never be organized; but we may create service boards or committees directly responsible to those they serve. The Committee as such is a service board operating under The Twelve Traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous in all of its affairs, ever mindful of the admonition cooperation not affiliation. The Committee is not a thing apart from A.A., but pursuant to its existing services.

The Committee guarantees continuity of the A.A. panels. No one individual can make that possible, only the coordinating continuity of a committee can. Members come and members go, but the committee continues.
